first_imgStrand Hotel First Division ReportsGleneely Colts 3-5 Moville ResThere was little to suggest the goals feast to come in the opening twenty minutes as chances were few and defences on top.Gleneely broke the deadlock when Eddie Mcnamee advanced unchallenged to unleash a twenty five yards effort which took a deflection on its way to the net.Minutes later they doubled their lead after a Drew Crumlish corner was headed home by Danny McLaughlin. But Moville got one back after a fine solo run by John Gillen took him past the defence before rounding Jordan McLaughlin to slot home. They equalised on the stroke of half time when Jason Mclaughlin collected a throw in and drilled a fine low shot to the bottom corner. For long periods of the second half it looked as if this was the way the game would finish but it exploded in the last ten minutes. On 80 minutes Moville took the lead when conor Lafferty converted a penalty awarded for a trip in the area.Minutes later Lafferty added another after superb play from McLaughlin presented him with a close range tap in.Gleneely hit back and reduced the deficit to the minimum on 85 minutes when McNamee played a one two with Ronan Kearney and advanced to see his twenty five yards effort take a deflection on its way to the net.But Moville sealed it with minutes remaining after substitute Danny Murphy advanced past three men into the area before sliding the ball low to the net.
